Volvo C30 Specifications and Features
Volvo C30 comes with a number of different features. The two basic engines that it will have are either a diesel engine or a petrol engine. The petrol engine will have a 100 hp straight 4 engine with 1.6 litre, and it may also come with a 1.8 litre straight 4 engine, a 2.4 straight 5 engine, a 2.0 litre straight 4 engine, and a 2.5 straight 5 engine that is turbocharged. As for the diesel engines, they can come with a straight 4 1.6 litre engine, a 2.4 litre straight 5 engine, and a 2.0 litre straight 4 engine. A manual gearbox will be added to each C30 model, whether it uses a diesel or petrol engine.
The sound system for this car has been upgraded, and it has a 5 x 130 watt amplifier which is offered through Alpine. Each car will come with a grand total of 10 speakers, and these speakers are designed by Dynaudio, a company based in Europe that tailors its products towards the youth market. During the SEMA exposition, a number of modified C30s were showcased, and they had a number of impressive features and designs. Volvo is currently in the process of developing a hybrid model of the C30, and it will use a system that is electric based.
It must be emphasized that the hybrid will not be 100 percent electric. It will also features a diesel engine that can be used when the battery needs to be recharged. One fully charged battery will allow the C30 to travel for about sixty miles before it needs to be recharged. As far as price is concerned, the Volvo C30 will range from $21,000 to $25,000. While it is somewhat cheaper than other Volvo models, the C30 was designed as an introductory vehicle for those who have not previously owned Volvo vehicles. At this price range, the C30 would not be classified as a budget car, and has intead been placed under the “near luxury” mark.
The term “luxury” is generally used to describe cars that retail for more than $30,000. Because the C30 is not much cheaper than this, it is classified as near luxury. A number of this car’s features, most notably the sound system, are quite impressive when compared to other models within its class. Because the car is aimed at the younger crowd, it is designed to be somewhat affordable.
