Volvo C30
The Volvo C30 is classified as a near luxury car, and it comes in the form of a hatchback with three doors and four seats. The Volvo C30 can use either one of two engines, and these are the Straight 4 and the Straight 5. The car has a number of design similarities with the C70 luxury car, and they both use the Ford C1 platform. This car was first introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 2006. The car will also be offered in the United States for the 2008 line up. The T5 is the version which will be offered to U.S. consumers. The Volvo C30 is aimed at people who are buying a Volvo for the first time, and it is also aimed at the younger generation.
The company is expected to produce approximately 65,000 units every 12 months. In addition to being available with a diesel engine, the C30 can also come with a petrol engine. In addition to these models, Volvo is also working on a hybrid that uses an electric system.
These hybrid model is being developed at their California development center, and the car will be entered into the Michelin Challenge Bibendum in China. Visually, the C30 is quite impressive. It uses a design which is very angular, and this is a sharp contrast to many luxury cars today, which use a more circular design.
The car has a look which could be described as youthful, and since it is aimed at the younger market, this is quite appropriate. The design of the C30 is distinct even from other Volvo models, and the Interior is quite impressive. Volvo is also working towards developing an electric hybrid that uses an electrical plug-in system.
The electric motors used by this hybrid will be powered by a battery back, and it can work for about 60 kilometers before it needs to be recharged. This model will not be fully electric, and the diesel engine can act as a generator in a situation where the battery pack needs to be recharged. An additional feature that this car will have is the ability to be recharged over night.
