Lamborghini Estoque concept
Italian supercar makers Lamborghini unveiled an absolute stunner at the 2008 Paris Salon d’Automobile [2008 Paris Motor Show] – the ‘Estoque’.
The Estoque is Lamborghini’s first four door model and sports the bold style of the Lamborghini Reventon with a shape similar to that of an ‘Estoque’ – a small sword used by a matador to strike the fatal blow to a bull.
‘Estoque’ is pronounced ‘Es-tock-eh’.
An anonymous Lamborghini official had been reported to have said that the concept car could have been called ‘Urus’, which means ‘big cow’ in German.
It’s unsure what will power the mid-engine ’super saloon’. A V8, V10, V12 and even a hybrid power train are all said to be possibilities. There would all-wheel drive like Lamborghini’s current models.
Production hasn’t yet been decided, however, if the concept is given the go-ahead, it could be available in two to four years.
If produced, the Estoque would compete with other four-door sports cars, like the Aston Martin Rapide, Porsche Panamera and Maserati Quattroporte.
As expected, no price has yet been set, however a report claims a price could be around $230,000.
