Phill’s Banana Fiesta
I got this Fiesta for my 18th birthday from my parents on 18th of February 2001. On the day of purchase it had 92,000 miles on the clock, 4 new tires, new exhaust, all new brake pads and a paint job to be seen miles away. The switch over from driving a Volvo 440 1.6 to my 1.1 Fiesta was very wierd, but it took no time at all to get used to. I love this car. It’s reliable and economic – perfect for getting from A to B.
I live near St Andrews in Scotland and one day in the snow some stupid arse wasn’t looking where he was reversing. The result was – new front drivers side wing (and adjoining piece under bumper), new bumper and a wing re-spray. £150 worth of damage – ONLY ONE WEEK AFTER GETTING IT!!!
All my friends call it Bananalew coz of the reg – LEW 81W.
