Dean’s 1980 Fiesta

This is my 1980 Decor model which I’ve been building and customizing for several years now. When I found it, it was a mess. The engine was seized and the owner was going to build it into an auto cross car. He was a Datsun person at heart, so I persuaded him to sell it to me and stick to Datsun’s. This is the 5th Fiesta I’ve owned and besides being modified quite a bit, it has been built with parts from all 4 of my previous Fiestas. The engine, which is balanced, bored, and ported came from my 2nd car, a pristine Base model that was totaled by some jerk that ran a red light (you know who you are!). Luckily, the engine survived. The mint interior came from my 3rd Sport model, and the shifter unit and glove box door came from my 4th junker Fiesta that had 325,000 miles on it and never missed a day of service. I forget what came from my 1st Fiesta Ghia… Oh yeah, I remember, the grill and the hood. Gees…. I love this car!!!
